Independent auditing bodies such as FLOCERT regularly check compliance with the standards in certified mines. Also Fairever, as a an authorized trader of Fairtrade certified gold, is subject to regular audits and unannouned inspections.The certification organizations ensure that social, economic and environmental standards are met and that mines are paid the specified minimum price and the premium. This also guarantees 100 percent traceability of the gold from the mine to the finished gold bar or coin.
